Time Left Behind

With a heavy heart, I say,

I wish I had a little extra time to stay!

Not getting up to see Mumma's face,

Calling 'home' to an entirely different place,

And nor will there be Dad present for me to embrace,

I swear this here can never be replaced!

Helping me get my chores done,

Always up for dine-outs and fun,

Equally irritates and loves me tons.

Yup, won’t say it often, but my sister is my number one!

Okay, so these are the people I don’t much talk about,

But they’re the ones who’ve been there throughout.

My friends I chose—I know they’re gonna stay, no doubt!

As it is said, "Old is gold,"And so, "We signed up for lifetime" is what I've been told!

And at the end, I’d again say,

I wish I had a little extra time to stay.

Leaving behind these people to go so far away,

It seems a little harder because of the passing days.
