Between Dreams and Doubts

You know there’s something about nights,

Always leaves us wondering about what-ifs and mights.

It’s like running back again through the whole day,

Making stops at the mays and the things people say!

To not bothering, and then suddenly caring,

Which further leads to second-guessing and comparing!

It’s like a debate with ourselves,

Saddening sometimes, and at times it overwhelms!

But eventually, you lead up to some conclusions,

Maybe some solutions, or just more in the pile of growing confusions.

These thoughts are heartfelt, and these thoughts are deep,

But yet again, the night ends with sleep!

To forget about it all, making everything alright,

Only to wake up and think about it again the next night.
