A Homesick Heart

Life has shifted gears so fast,
A change-resistant soul—still stuck in the past.
A new chapter begins, painted in hues unknown,
Walking solo now, but it feels so alone.
Homesick—kinda grown into this feeling these days,
So brief a term, but its hold, it stays!
Returning to the house, tasks ahead—a feeling deep, caught unaware,
Spoiled by your care, pampered beyond compare.
Such heavy responsibilities; I'm still just a kid—life's not fair!
And so, in this city, home seems to be a place found nowhere.
Would you believe I’ve started to cook?
A sight, I promise, worth a second look!
With every attempt, I strive to achieve,
To make you proud and help me believe.
Suffice to say, I miss you guys,
I hope the saying holds true—that time flies.
Yearning to come back home, my heart sighs!
